Cookie Run Kingdom Gets a Very Unexpected Collaboration

Cookie Run: Kingdom is collaborating with Shinhan Card to offer limited-edition credit cards featuring various characters from the game. Devsisters, the developer of Cookie Run: Kingdom, has done a few crossovers with major IPs in the past, although these have typically been in-game events or promotional codes.

Cookie Run Kingdom reveals new summer update

Previous collaborations for Cookie Run: Kingdom have been temporary events that focus on popular IPs such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Disney, adding characters from each as unique cookies to collect. Up until now, crossovers such as these have focused on in-game content to either play or collect, though Devsisters is trying something different with these credit cards.

Cookie Run: Kingdom Reveals Credit Card Collaboration

As reported by ChosunBizCookie Run: Kingdom is collaborating with Shinhan Cards, one of South Korea's biggest credit card companies, to offer players unique credit and debit cards called "Shinhan Card Flee Cookie Run Edition." These cards will feature cookies such as Eternal Sugar, Pure Vanilla, Dark Cacao, Shadow Milk, and more. While Shinhan cards are generally accepted in almost all places in the US, getting one from this collaboration requires customers to bank there directly. It's not impossible for people outside of South Korea to get one of these cards, as Shinhan does business worldwide, but the specifics on getting an account with the company will vary depending on where someone lives.

Along with the release of the card, an event for those who get one will be running from August 4 to August 31 that incentivizes customers to spend 130,000 Won with their new card. Reaching that goal gives players a chance to get a free Eternal Sugar Cookie doll, which would pair well with the Shadow Milk Plushie from Cookie Run: KingdomThere is a limited number of Eternal Sugar Cookie dolls available, though the exact number is not known, and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lemon Cookie Topping Build - Cookie Run Kingdom

Shinhan Card and Devsisters are both headquartered in South Korea, making it their home market and the ideal place for them to try out this new type of collaboration. While this promotion is centered around the South Korean audience, fans can hope that the popularity of Cookie Run: Kingdom worldwide, as seen with the engagement on its multiple social media sites posting promo codes for Cookie Run: Kingdom, could one day see a similar collaboration happening with other credit card companies.

Cookie Run: Kingdom has been out for over four years now, and these credit cards should keep players' hopes high that Devsisters is still committed to focusing on new content and ideas to keep players' interest, such as new benefits for purchasers of the Kingdom Pass in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Potential success with this collaboration could also lead to other out-of-game promotions to further expand the brand of Cookie Run: Kingdom beyond just the mobile app.
